A/B Duo presents "Ricochet" at the Center for New Music.

We are excited to play at the Center for New Music again. Last time we were there, the Civic Center Blog said that our concert was "one of the most charming concerts imaginable… The music was bouncy, strange, interesting and fun. The A/B Duo is worth seeking out…"

This time, we will premiere new works for contrabass flute and percussion by Andrea La Rose and Ned McGowan.

This concert is made possible through the Musical Grant Program, which is administered by the San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music, and supported by the Heller Foundation, the Hewlett Foundation, the San Francisco Foundation and Grants for the Arts|San Francisco Hotel Tax Fund.

A/B Duo concert at Spectrum in NYC!  (2nd night, different set!)

The A/B Duo will present some of their newly commissioned works and more at Spectrum.  The program will include Limb by Drew Baker, which the Chicago Classical Review described as “the most compelling music. At just 8-1/2 minutes, Baker distills a striking atmosphere of concentrated mystery with the shimmering of the gongs set against the lowing of the imposing contrabass flute and, later, piercing high piccolo notes.” Works by Carolyn O’Brien, Zack Browning, Ian Dicke and Steven Snowden will also round out the program of compositions written in 2012 and 2013.

The A/B Duo will bring their “Happy Hour” show to Spectrum on March 15th.
